Teaching students to serve others is one of the goals of the GCMS Middle Schools staff.  Senior citizens gather at the middle school during each of the winter months to enjoy school-provided coffee and donuts served by the advisory classes’ students. They also enjoy student performances: Band or Chorus performances or their personal written poetry or stories.

The community supports the monthly event by publicizing flyers in the local businesses and local churches and covering the event on the local radio station and in the local newspaper.
