Each day at GCMS Middle School begins with an advisory period.  Julie Withrow, guidance counselor, provides monthly character education activities for teachers.  Team members at each grade level plan weekly activities in coordination with the suggested activities, or the yearly grade level themes.  On the first weekday of each month, an assembly is held during advisory period and the character education them for the month is introduced.
