Sunny, fun days on the beach marked my summer vacation with family...easy.  On the last day of vacation I began organizing my thoughts about the upcoming school year.  How could AIMS bring  you a day at the beach?  Fun...sunshine...easy...

To Answer Your Question.....

During June's Summer SPLASH, the question was asked about where to find great ideas about authentic assessment.  AIMS suggests:
Kay Burke's How to Assess Authentic Learning (4th Edition)

1. Check out Burke's outline on "Balanced Assessment" (adapted from Fogarty and Stoehr's work)...you will get a real handle on the different types of assessment OR
 
2. Checklist for Teacher-Made Tests...those 10 items will make a difference in your students' performance! For SURE!
 
Robin Fogarty's Balanced Assessment

Fogarty emphasizes using a TRI-ASSESSMENT model.  It promotes a traditional, portfolio and performance assessment approach.  Check out her book for more information.
